I have been trying to submit myself to self-publishing again and after trying many publishers, I returned to my previous publishers who allowed some of my vision/projects to be printed and I have been sharing them in a blog post.
What has taken up my time for the past decade has been ‘tea’; from tea reviewing, sampling of new teas, and visiting some tea shops. I became obsessed with finding all things to do with tea; in books read, searching for a tea mentioning or partaking of tea; driving me mad to the point where I could not reach for a book and open its page to find the word ‘tea’ mentioned somewhere.
I realized that it was time to give up my tea blog and render some aspects of it into book form.
Publishers want money paid out first and foremost before doing anything else; and with payment plans, this will take even longer, if it happens at all. I sound like a non-believer that this book project will take shape by rendering a book. Time will tell.
One of the things that have inspired me time and again is this oil portrait of Paul Revere with a copper teapot in his hand; one that he made himself as he is a blacksmith amongst many other skills that he possessed.
Paul Revere, 1768
John Singleton Copley, American (1738-1815)
Oil on canvas. 35 ½ x 28 ½ in. Gift of Joseph W. Revere, William B. Revere, and Edward H. R. Revere, 30.781
These agents already don’t trust me, and will not help me. Faith and hope yet money is the root of all that is evil and unkind and makes the world go round and round.
I pray that another can take notice of what I am trying to accomplish here on my new blog/website.
