A Book of Verse by Deborah Wilding
Step into the delicate world of historic embroidered books with this new year-long course led by renowned textile artist Deborah Wilding.
Over one year (with a minimum of 15 sessions) starting in September 2026, students will work closely with Deborah to stitch a faithful interpretation of this beautiful late-19th-century binding, celebrating the art of fine silk embroidery, careful embellishment, and romantic Victorian design. Together, students will explore the intricate floral motifs, scrolling vines, and delicate details that echo the wonderful craftsmanship of this rare book.
The core embroidery tuition will be complemented by additional finishing and book-binding tuition, culminating in the creation of a remarkable family heirloom to treasure for years to come.
